Ballet
In Ballet, students learn basic to intermediate fundamentals of ballet, furthering their education of terminology and technique and continue to practice poise, grace, and self-discipline.
Ballet/Jazz Combo
In Ballet/Jazz, students will learn elements of Ballet and Jazz to build a solid foundation of beginning terminology and technique. These two dance genres, though stylistically different, complement each other by strengthening technique in each. The use of poms will sharpen their use of their upper body to create clean and precise movements while incorporating other dance styles. We use a mix of both classical music and current upbeat music. Students will perform one dance style in our Nutcracker and the others in our Spring Show.
Jazz/Hip Hop/Poms
This high-energy class introduces dancers to the exciting styles of jazz, hip hop, and poms. Students will develop coordination, flexibility, strength, and musicality while learning foundational jazz technique, including kicks, jumps, turns, and isolations. Hip hop elements add creativity and rhythm, while poms help dancers build strong upper-body awareness and sharp, precise movements. Music and choreography are always age appropriate. Students will showcase Jazz/Poms in our Nutcracker production and Hip Hop in our Spring Performance.
Broadway Jazz/Hip Hop
This fun and energetic class combines the performance quality of Broadway jazz with the dynamic style of hip hop. Dancers will build flexibility, coordination, strength, and confidence while learning jazz technique, expressive movement, and rhythmic hip hop combinations. Music and choreography are always age appropriate. Students are encouraged to develop their stage presence and performance skills in a supportive environment. Students will perform one dance style in our Nutcracker production and the other in our Spring Performance.
Modern/Contemporary
This expressive and creative class explores movement through both modern and contemporary dance techniques. Students will develop a deeper understanding of alignment, parallel and turned-out positions, balance, and the relationship between the spine and movement. Emphasis is placed on artistic expression, musicality, improvisation, and storytelling through dance. Dancers are encouraged to explore their individuality while building strength, flexibility, and technical skills in a supportive and inspiring environment.
Hip Hop
This is a high energy class combining street dance with funk. Hip Hop teaches, coordination, strength, flexibility, rhythm, and endurance. Music and dance steps are age appropriate.
